I have been packing and unpacking and driving all day. I am exhausted and my room is a freaking mess!!! One of my goals for this break is not only to GET SHIT DONE scholastically, but to get everything unpacked and pretty in my room. In order to get excited about rearranging and unpacking and laundry... I needed to think of something fun. Sooo I decided to look up Feng shui. Feng shui is an ancient Chinese systems of aesthetics believed to use the law of both Heaven and Earth. Its meant to help improve a persons life by receiving positive qi.(A qi is an active principle forming part of any living thing.) Ok, I understand this sounds a little weird and jsut plain hokey. But why not?? Ive heard very positive things about this and I am too tired right now to look up pros and cons and blah blah blah. Annyways, I found all this awesome info on how to feng shui your bedroom! Here are just a few tips:
1. Let go of the TV, computer or exercise equipment in your bedroom.
-This one will be difficult. I dont think I will do this one because its all I do in the summer is kind of lock my self in my room and play the Sims and watch Its Always Sunny. Maybe AFTER this summer, and when I actually have my own place I will do this. Actually I WILL! But since I have to hide away in my room all summer, I can suck it up for one more season :).
2. Open the windows often or use a good quality air purifier to keep the air fresh and full of oxygen.
-Ill be able to do this in the summer (sort of). I do like my air conditioner though and I checked eBay and air purifiers are not cheap. Soooo I might not be doing so well on this one either. Maybe when I have money some day Ill buy one.
3. Plants are not good to have in the bedroom, unless it is a large room and they are far from the bed.
- I guess Ill just keep Lucky my bamboo plant far far away from my bed. I love it so much, and I wish to have it in my bedroom.
4. Good scents for the room are rose, ylang ylang, and jasmines.
- Ill keep this in mind when buying my summer candle!
5. Have several levels of lighting in your bedroom, or use a dimmer switch to adjust the energy accordingly.
-I do have a desk lamp for the night and a regular light so I hope its good enough!
6. Use soothing colors to achieve a good feng shui balance in your bedroom.
- My rooms is YELLOW. I find it to be so relaxing and mood boosting. Light yellow and beige are for stability and nourishment, which sounds nice to me! They also say that skin tones are the best colors for a bedroom. Ehhhh... I guess I could go with a light pink for the next time I get to choose a color.
7. Choose the images for your bedroom wisely, as images carry powerful feng shui energy.
- You should choose images that you want to see happening in your life. I do this, I have my RHCP energy, with my palm trees, Norah Jones, but I might want to take down Hendrix.
8. Bed guidelines
-Have your bed easily approachable from both sides
-Have two bedside tables
-Avoid having the bed in a direct line with the door
-A good looking and well balanced bed is very important and high quality sheets with natural fibers
-This is going to be difficult considering my teeny tiny room :/
9. Keep all bedroom doors closed at night

New Goal
The last day of undergrad classes was yesterday :( as well as Dr. Berthold's last because he is retiring. I was sooo happy until Dr. Berthold gave my very LAST class at Lyco. Our last assignment was to "make me proud". I was honestly brought to tears. This was the first time I cried in class (at college and I was super close the day before when I got my multivariable stats TEST back FML!). But it did make me cry! I know this is super lame but it was so meaningful to me. Berth was my first psych professor, and this was the perfect ending and the perfect last assignment. So new goal: MAKE BERTHOLD PROUD!!! He even said we are held to it after he is gone.

Congratulations Dr. Berthold on your retirement. You have left a huge impact!
Now I must pack up my room and prepare for finals. I can't believe its almost over. These seriously have been the best years of my life. I will miss it, but I know I am ready to accomplish even more in grad school :).
GOOD LUCK CLASS OF 2011 (and 2012 for Suz!!!)

Minor Freak Out
I am having my usual pre big change freak out. And I am worried about summer and leaving Lycoming. Just yesterday I was super excited and now all of a sudden I am FREAKING OUT. In order to alleviate these feelings, I am going to do my usual cure. Make LISTS. I have a few haha!
First one...
POSITIVE things about graduating:
-I will be DRAMA free. (At least from all Lyco drama.) I feel that I am even currently creating my own drama just to make it easier to leave. Plus I am so sick of everyone knowing everything. I feel like there are no secrets!
-I WILL have a next step. Even if I dont get into IUP. I have packets that I can start applying to other places. If not I have ALL summer to start looking for a job. My goal will to be to NOT be living with my parents by the next time a school year starts.
-I will NOT have to live in Williamsport anymore :)
-I will have a college degree. It is an accomplishment :)
-No more Lyco homework. I will have time to play the Sims and Pokemon and Im going to get Netflix so I can empty my brain for awhile.
-I will FINALLY be able to date mature men. I have learned that they dont really seem to exist in college. (the problem is, how do you meet men out of college??)
-Ill will still have the opportunity to go bar hopping
-Did I say NO HOMEWORK??
-My internship will be over with....
-I will be able to go for runs outside and have something pretty to look at.
-Ill have time to work on my body, and diet. I can REALLY focus on being as sexy as I can be just in time for grad school :)
-Ill have some money to spend
-I do have really great friends at home. And I want to make new friends
-BONNAROO!!!! I LOVE music festivals!!
My goals for the summer:
-Keep up with my post it note. Always have a to do list. Get something done EVERY DAY.
- SAVE. MONEY. Especially if I do not get my assistantship. In order to do this I will
-Wait for sales
-Pack my lunches
-Find other things to do that DONT involve money
-Limit the amount of beer I buy
-Keep in mind the apartment down payment that I need!!!!! If I save I can LEAVE
-Get Netflix or Hulu Plus instead of buying DVDs on eBay.
-Stay off eBay in the morning. (Unless its for a GPS or something.) Read the news instead.
-Diet. I want to look absolutely SEXY. I would like to lose everything that I gained in college. I honestly would like to lose 15 pounds. Which seems like a lot, but how else am I supposed to attract a super sexy sweet husband right? I want to not feel flabby anymore, and I would like to just lose all of this weight. Luckily I have my mother who will diet with me and my Wii fit which I WILL be weighing in every morning. I want to look healthier too! Eating better food is also great for your complexion and skin.
-Exercise. I love the gym and I am going to get the college deal at Planet Fitness. I will dig out the schedule that the guy made me last semester, and even if I don't make it on the weekdays, I will go on the weekends. I want to work on my abs and legs and NOT just do cardio. I am more comfortable lifting weights with people who I dont really know, as opposed to Lyco where I feel all eyes are on me in the weight room. I also wish to continue doing yoga.
-Sleep. As much as I love summer nights, I am a much happier person when I actually do sleep. I will burn my relax candle and do my yoga before bed every night.
-Buy a GPS. nough said.
-Make plans for summer adventures like last year.
-Pay off credit card
-Blog!
Bring it on real world!!!
